Using the Stand and Adjusting Camera Angle

Simple tips for the best tracking results.

Updated yesterday

To get the most out of your Dribbleup experience, it’s important to position your device correctly. Here’s how to set things up using one of our stands—or whatever you have at home.

Step 1: Choose your setup

We recommend using one of the official Dribbleup Stands (Mini, Premier, or Elite) for best results. If you don’t have one, you can use a stable stack of books or any stand that positions your device securely.

Step 2: Set the camera angle

Position your phone or tablet so it captures a full view of your body and the product you’re using. In most cases, that means:

  • Angling the camera slightly downward

  • Centering the product in the frame

  • Standing about 6 feet (2 meters) away

Make sure there’s good lighting and no major obstacles between you and the device.

Step 3: Adjust as needed

Start a practice session and check the tracking. If you’re not seeing your reps counted correctly, try:

  • Moving slightly closer or farther

  • Tilting the angle up or down

  • Checking for glare or shadows

Even small adjustments can make a big difference!
