Getting Started

The Dribbleup Smart Basketball connects with the Dribbleup app to bring interactive ball-handling training into your home. Once connected, the app tracks your movement and gives real-time feedback to help you improve your skills with every session.

To get started, you’ll need:

  • A Dribbleup Smart Basketball

  • A phone or tablet (iOS 13+ or Android 12+)

  • The Dribbleup app downloaded and installed

  • A Dribbleup All-Access Membership for full app access

Note: Your Smart Basketball does not require any built-in sensors or batteries. It’s recognized by your device’s camera using image-tracking technology.

Setting Up

  1. Inflate your ball

Your ball is pre-inflated to regulation pressure before shipping, but you may need to adjust it after delivery.

    • 29.5” Basketball: 7–9 PSI

    • 28.5” Basketball: 7–9 PSI

Use a standard sports ball pump with a needle. Proper inflation ensures the best experience during scanning and drills.

  2. Set up your space

Choose a well-lit area with about 6 feet (2 meters) of space. Place your phone or tablet on a stand at floor level or slightly above, aimed at your upper body. Avoid strong backlighting.

  3. Open the app and scan your ball

Launch the Dribbleup app and follow the on-screen instructions to scan your basketball. Make sure the full ball is visible within the on-screen circle and your camera has a clear view.

Choosing the Right Ball Size

  • 29.5” Basketball: Standard size for boys age 13+ and adults

  • 28.5” Basketball: Recommended for boys under 13 and girls of all ages
